
Nuvolari at the 6th trophy of Lario, 11 july 1926. The legendary race,
one of the most difficult in the world, has in Tazio Nuvolari and in
his Bianchi 'freccia celeste' 350 one of the greatest performer of
all times: in fact he wins the competition in 1925, 1926, 1927,
1929 and 1930.
The Lario circuit was famous for its difficulty because the road was
narrow, there was an elevate number of curves, hairpins and numerous
ups and downs. It wa called, not accidentally, the "Italian Tourist Trophy".
Note one of the charateristic of the races of that period: the road-bed
not asphalted, with numerous holes, and the alarming stone post in
the bend...
